Jack T. Tsoai
Jack T. Tsoai accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour in the early 80's and served in the Apostolic Faith Mission church for 11 years. Jack later served in the Full Gospel Chruch as the Youth leader and subsequently met his wife of 19 years from the Full Gospel tribe.
After teaching for several years as a high school teacher, Jack T. Tsoai gave-up his teaching career and went to spend three (3) years studying for ministry at a Bible college in South Africa. Jack and Maratwa Tsoai joined Mannie and Dawn Pereira at Ebenezer Christian Fellowship, in Midrand Johannesburg where they served as pastors for several years. It was during this time that they felt God wanted them to plant a church in Honeydew (Zandspruit ), in obedience to a call into full-time ministry that God had placed on their lives. On the 14th November 1999, Ebenezer Christian Church – Honeydew (later renamed "Cosmo City Church") was planted. Right from that humble beginning it was clear that God’s call on Jack and his family was to the local church, the community, the city, the country and the nations abroad and that He had great plans, promises, purpose and inheritance for them as a family!
After an incredible time and privilege of leading Cosmo City Church for 14 years, Jack and Maratwa Tsoai handed over the leadership of the church to Thabiso and Didi Motsepe on the 9th March 2013 to pursue a more translocal ministry according to Acts 13:1-3 v1. "Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. v2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” v3. So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off”.
This move, led Jack and Maratwa to start a translocal partnership of churches called “Capstone Translocal Partnerships” on the 8th June 2013 to help train up church leaders, plant churches and equip the church globally. Whenever you see a God-inspired transition in the Bible, you also see an increase, expansion and fruitfulness. From Moses to Joshua, David to Solomon and Jesus to his disciples, all you see is the expansion of a trans-generational vision initiated by God using mere fallible human beings. Jack and Maratwa Tsoai accepted and embrace their pioneering calling knowing very well that it was not going to be a safe sailing journey as theirs has always been a journey of pushing out the borders of normality, breaking new ground, pioneering even when it didn’t look possible. On the 2nd February 2014, another church in Vereeniging, south of Johannesburg was planted by Jack and Maratwa which they led until the 26th July 2015 and handed over its leadership to William and Tshidi Mahlabegwane. Since then, Jack has travelled extensively across South Africa and abroad partnering with other local churches through this initiative called Capstone Translocal Partnerships (CTP) helping to plant churches and doing leadership seminars.
On the 2nd August 2015, Jack and Maratwa planted another church called The Commissioned Church in Randburg, Johannesburg. The Commissioned Church or TCC was planted to be instrumental in building unity between churches with similar vision and values, both locally, nationally and internationally as it actively supports the work of Capstone Translocal Partnerships.
