God’s mission is too big for any one local church to accomplish. Yet we often act as if our church must do it all alone. Hence CTP choose to partner with local churches from many different backgrounds in South African and beyond our boarders. Some are newly planted churches, while others are churches that have been around longer than CTP, but found in CTP an expression that is creative about gospel-driven church partnerships in their own communities and around the world which is purely based on relationships that are long lasting and subsequently wanted to be part of that.
These local churches found in CTP an expression of New Testament model of churches that are built on the foundations of the Apostles and Prophets, building aware from what is expressed in 1 Corinthians 3: 4-5" For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? "(NKJV) We have therefore decided that there are no membership forms or a system of imposing CTP’s authority on partnering churches, because we believe that friendship/relationship is never imposed, but it is voluntary and all partnering local churches retain their autonomy.
What binds us together is the believe that church is all about Jesus and winning the lost for the King is paramount. Our foundational value is that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and is the only acceptable standard for life, ministry, doctrine, direction, discipline, design of the church life and conduct in the Church in general. This standard is applied, as best as we know how, to all that we do in partnership with churches.
